Identification. Badges are your identification for all activities and events. Please wear them at sessions and take them along for admission to the Banquet and Reception.
Congress Assistants. Assistants will be identified by a yellow badge.
Smoking. Strictly prohibited inside any university building. There are no designated inside smoking areas. Smoking is permitted outside buildings, if beyond 50ft from any entrance.
Events Signup. If you plan to attend the Mountain Barbecue on Friday evening and/or the Rocky Mountain Hike on Saturday morning, please sign up on the boards by the registration desk. For the hike please indicate if you can help with transportation. Either event is subject to cancellation in case of inclement mountain weather.
Campus Parking. If you plan to park on campus we advice purchasing a $8.25 weekly pass for Lot 436 (across Regent Drive from Engineering Center) at Parking Services, which is also located across from EC. A representative from PS will be at the Registration Desk Wednesday morning. More details here.
Reception Time Change. The opening reception originally slated for Wednesday has been cancelled so participants can enjoy a free evening in Boulder. It has been substituted by the Ice Breaker Reception on Tuesday evening, 6-9pm, at the Koenig Alumni Center.
Post-Conference Short Course. The registration desk for the Short Course will be located at the Engineering Lobby, that is, same place as the Congress' The desk will open at 7:30am on Saturday Aug 7th. Participants should pick up badges and course material at the desk before going to Math 100.
Social program. Participants should convene on Wed Aug 4th, 10am, at the registration desk area, before proceeding to board the bus on Engineering Drive.

Faxes. Prepared fax forms may be found at the registration desk area. If you need to send a Fax from the Congress site please give the filled form to the receptionist. Faxes will be sent every 2-3 hrs. This service should not be used for emergencies.
Pay Phones. Pay public phones are available at the South entrance of the Engineering Center, Level 1, near Classroom ECCR 105. Colorado requires 10-digit dialing: you must always include the area code (for Boulder and vicinity, 303) even for local calls.
Campus Phones. No-charge phones for on-campus & local calls are available in the registration area. For campus numbers dial only the last five digits: for example dial 2-2199 to get 303-492-2199
Message Board. On-site messages to participants may be left at 303-735-7680 during the following times. Aug 3rd: 2-5pm, Aug 4-6th: 8am-5pm. These will be periodically posted on a message board.
E-mail. A limited number of networked PC computers equipped with Telnet will be available to participants at the Civil Engineering Bechtel Lab, ECCE 157, for checking e-mail.
Copy Centers. Self-serve copying is available at the Dean's Office Administration area of the Engineering Center at ECAD 100. For user code inquire at registration desk. Copy services are available during business hours at the UMC Student Union (492-1060), and Norlin Library (492-4320). A convenient just-off-campus copy center is Kinko's at Basemar Shopping Center, 2616 Baseline Rd, 494-2622, which is open 24hrs/day.
