On Saturday, August 4, 2001, a Post-Conference Short Course will be offered. The Short Course comprises two sets of lecture topics:

 

Meshless Methods

This course will be given by Prof. Wing Kam Liu of Northwestern University, Prof. Hirohisa Noguchi of Keio University, and Prof. J.S. Chen of the University of Iowa.

Design Optimization

This course will be led by Prof. Zafer Gurdal of Virginia Tech and Uwe Schramm, of Altair Engineering, Inc.

The short course will start at 8:30 AM and conclude by 3:30 PM.
