The
eighth official Congress
of
the United States Association for Computational Mechanics
(USACM) will feature the latest developments
in all aspects of computational mechanics and will
"broaden the definition of the discipline to include
many other computation-oriented areas in engineering
and sciences." The plenary lectures featured
and minisymposia will highlight the latest trends
in computational mechanics, pre- and post- conference
short courses addressing advances in higher order
methods, wave propagation, and various other
topics. Please take time to view the numerous
vendor exhibits featuring Austin's "Silicon Hills."
The conference
will be hosted by the Institutute for Computational
Engineering and
Sciences
at The University
of Texas
at Austin. The conference will be held at Austin
Convention Center, conveniently located in downtown
Austin, within
6 miles of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The conference
technical program will be held Monday, July 25
- Wednesday,
July 27, 2005. The pre- and post-conference conference
short courses will be offered on Sunday, July 24th
& Thursday, July, 28, 2005.
Featuring
applications in nanotechnology and bioengineering
to recent advances in numerical
methods
and high-performance computing, the technical program
will reflect the Congress theme, "Spanning Computational
Engineering and Sciences." The
Congress covers a wide spectrum of disciplines and
applications. Bringing together researchers,
developers and users is a key objective of this meeting.
