USNCCM-10 Updates and Alerts

The 10th U.S. National Congress on Computational Mechanics (USNCCM10), hosted by The Ohio State University, has now received over 1200 abstracts and we are looking forward to an exciting Congress on a wide range of multi-disciplinary topics, including nanotechnology, materials, manufacturing, bioengineering and high-performance computing.  Registration is now open.  Early registration will end at the end of the day on May 14 so we encourage you to register as soon as possible; you may also book your lodging now to obtain the best rates.

Please note that the Congress takes place Thursday, July 16 through Sunday noon, July 19th.  Travel awards will be announced around the first week of May.

ASME First Global Congress on NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology

USACM is a sponsor with ASME to organize the First Global Congress on NanoEngineering for Medicine and Biology, to be held February 7-10, 2010, in Houston, Texas.  We invite you to submit papers for presentation and discussion at NEMB 2010.  Papers are now being solicited from members of the engineering community, scientists and clinicians involved in the development of new tools and materials in nanomedicine, experts from industry in the field of life sciences and all those investigating the potential of future emerging technologies.  USACM members will be given the same registration rate as ASME members.  More information about this new conference may be found here.

USACM Announces Thematic Conferences

USACM will soon be accepting proposals for thematic conferences, shortcourses, and workshops that are related to the overall mission and statement of purpose of USACM. The theme of these smaller events will be focused on only one or at the most a few topics to foster growth and interaction among researchers.  USACM will sponsor and organize these events.  A Request for Proposal form will be available soon on the USACM website.
