Postdoctoral Fellow-Stochastic Modeling
Austin, TX
University of Texas at Austin
The Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Sciences (PECOS)
at The University of Texas at Austin has openings for Post-Doctoral
Scholars to develop algorithms and techniques for stochastic modeling with
applications to the calibration, validation, and uncertainty
quantification of complex physical models. Applicants are sought with a
solid background in statistics, probability, Bayesian
inference, and inverse problems. Applicants should also have knowledge in
one of the following topics: stochastic Partial Differential Equations,
optimization, or model reduction.
The Center for Predictive Engineering and Computational Science (PECOS) is a research center in th eInstitute for Computational Engineering and Sciences (ICES) at the University of Texas at Austin. The Center is directed by Dr. Robert Moser and is dedicated to the development and application of tools and techniques for making reliable computational predictions of complex systems. Applicants must have a Doctorate in Engineering, Applied
Mathematics, or a related field.
Applications (consisting of a letter of interest, a current CV and list of
three references) should be sent as a single PDF file to
