Job Title: Post Doctoral Researcher

Description of Position: The Computation and Data Driven Discovery (CD3) is seeking a post-doctoral researcher to work on methods at the intersection of computational mechanics and data-driven techniques (Gaussian processes, deep neural networks and generative models). These techniques will be applied to develop reduced order models and solve inference problems in different areas of computational physics.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer/Computational Science, or related discipline. Expertise in a subset of the following areas:

  • Finite element methods
  • Computational Methods for Solid/Fluid Mechanics Knowledge of methods in Machine Learning
  • Proficiency in FORTRAN, C, C++ and/or Python programming languages and GNU/Linux operating system is required.
  • Good knowledge of parallel programming and high-performance computing.
  • Experience in large-scale software development.
  • Knowledge of modern software engineering tools will be considered favorably.
