USACM at Berkeley Hosts March MechBytes Seminar

USACM at Berkeley held its monthly MechBytes seminar on March 13.

This month’s speaker was Adeline Wihardja, a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), who presented her recent research on model discovery in mechanics. Her work strongly integrates experiments, computation, and theoretical modeling to build high-fidelity predictive models, with an emphasis on creating innovative data-driven methodologies and optimal experimental design.

Wihardja previously earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2021 and her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech in 2023
