QC 2026

Quantum Computing-Enabled Engineering: PDEs, Mechanics, and Design Optimization (QC 2026), August 6-7, 2026, Nashville, Tennessee, USA

About the Conference

The U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics (USACM) is pleased to announce QC2026, a thematic conference focused on the emerging role of quantum computing in engineering applications.

This conference will bring together researchers from academia, industry, and government laboratories to evaluate the current state and near-term potential of quantum computing across engineering disciplines, including civil, mechanical, materials, and advanced manufacturing. The goal is to foster collaboration and accelerate the integration of quantum computing into practical engineering workflows.

Scope and Topics

We invite contributions in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Quantum algorithms for differential equations and computational mechanics
  • Multiscale and multi-physics modeling using quantum computing
  • Optimization and inverse problems in engineering
  • Uncertainty quantification and probabilistic methods
  • Hybrid classical–quantum computational frameworks
  • Applications in advanced manufacturing and materials design

The conference will also emphasize identifying high-impact, near-term application areas and defining challenge problems to guide future research.
