Diffusion Models for Solving Large Scale Probabilistic Inverse Problems
Speaker
Assad A. Oberai, University of Southern California
Abstract
Diffusion models are a class of generative algorithms that have found extensive applications in domains like natural language processing and computer vision. In this talk, we will explore the interplay of these models with computational mechanics. In the first part of the talk, we will use principles of mechanics to derive these algorithms, and in the second part we will use these algorithms to solve large-scale probabilistic inverse problems.
